Slide This plant is run-of-river type with lateral diversion. It is composed of a new weir with intake structure on Stream Corpassa, from whose headpond, (top water level at elevation 939.59 masl) a GFRP and steel pipeline nearly entirely installed under a road (DN700 length 1500m), crosses several culverts as well as the stream in two points, and then reaches the power generation station at elevation 787.70 masl, in which one 4-jet Pelton type turbine is installed.

Zollet Ingegneria performed all the activities and the inves-tigation required for the authorization and construction of Corpassa Hydropower Plant, including the hydraulic and hydro-logic research, plant profitability assessment, final and construction design of the works, and also the preparation of all the documents needed for the award of the works.

Slide With the support of expert geologists Zollet Ingegneria sur-veyed the areas involved, thereby determining the lithology of the soils and the geomorphological units at the various sites and – with the support of natural
scientists – assessed the environmental impact and landscape compatibility.

The Corpassa Stream diversion work is lateral draw-off type with a support weir in the riverbed. Heavy physical sedimentation of the water diverted is provided for, by the use - in series - of an external gravel pass and an internal gravel pass, as well as a sand trap to capture small sediment up to a minimum diameter of 0.5 mm with the maximum flow diverted. The intake is completely automated and governed by the control panels installed in the power station.
